Travis Patrick McNeill - November 3

Obituary for Travis Patrick McNeill
Travis Patrick McNeill
1995 – 2017
It is with profound sadness to be announcing the passing of our beloved son Travis Patrick McNeill at such a young age of 21.
Travis passed away in Cranbrook, BC at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in the ICU with his family holding his hand and standing by his side on February 26, 2017.
Travis blessed his parents at 6:17 am on November 3, 1995 by making his arrival at the Cranbrook Regional Hospital. Travis’ parents Brenda McNeill-Mason and Patrick McNeill were over the moon with excitement as Travis was born on his older brother Tyler Mason’s birthday.
Travis’ older sister was equally excited to have two little brothers born on the same day – November 3rd.
Travis lived most of his short life in Jaffray, BC where he became well known in the small community – where if needed, they were there to lend a hand.
We will always miss Travis’ infectious smile that he always had, no matter the kind of day he was having. That smile that lit up a room!
We will never forget the belly roar of laughs that you belted out – and everyone would laugh along with you, sometimes not even knowing what we were laughing about!
With all Travis’ curves life has thrown him, he was still the bravest, happiest young man ever. His bravery of water still makes me smile. We would put on your life jacket on at the beach and you would go into the water bobbing and tipping over but never showing any fear – that’s our Travy Bear.
Travis was Barney’s greatest fan – there wasn’t a movie out there that you never owned or had not watched. Whether we were on a road trip, camping trip or your many hospital stays, we had him by your side to make you smile.
Travis is survived by his mother Brenda McNeill-Mason of Cranbrook, his father Patrick McNeill of Cranbrook, his sister Crystal Johnson of Cranbrook, his brother Tyler Mason of Cranbrook, three nieces Destiny, Brooklin and Shaylin all of Cranbrook, his grandma Evelyn Mason of Cranbrook, his grandma Stella McNeill of Saskatchewan and many special aunts, uncles and cousins.
Travis was predeceased by his grandpas Kenneth Mason and Robert McNeill and his great grandparents on both the Mason and McNeill sides.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Travis may do so to the: Jaffray School, 7355 – Village Lop Road, PO Box 378, Jaffray, British Columbia, V0B 1T0,
by phone at 250-429-3211or by fax at 250-429-3555.
