It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden, but peaceful, passing of Tom Power in his 83rd year at his home in Eganville. Tom was predeceased by his longtime partner Margaret Lepine. Much loved and forever remembered by his children Joan (Sam Jamieson), Jim (Kim), and Mary Ellen Lariviere (Rob Veary). Much loved grandfather of Nicholas, Nathan and Samantha Jamieson, Rhiannon and Devon Power and Aaron and Kyle (Natasha) Lariviere. The youngest of twelve children, Tom is survived by his sister Geraldine (late Edgar) Paquette of Arnprior, and brother Kelly (Moon) Power of Eganville. He is predeceased by his siblings: Mayme (late Angus) MacDonald, Margaret (late Clifford) Wingle, Bernadette (late Ashton) Jarvo, Rita (late Ray) Coulterman, Maurice, Carmel (late Jim) Dellaire, Lila
(late Joe) Friske, Mike Power, Jack (Lois) Power. Tom will be dearly missed by his co-workers at H.D. McFarlane Transport as well as many nieces and nephews and numerous friends in the farming community and many bingo halls in the county.
Visitation will take place at Zohr Funeral Home on Monday, August 21 from 2-4 & 7 – 9pm. Funeral service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Eganville on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donations in memory of Tom to Cobden Agricultural Society (horse committee) or the charity of their
choice.
