Terrence (Terry) Robert MacDonald, beloved husband of Mrs. Deborah (Debbie) MacDonald passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the age of 73 years.
Besides his dear wife Debbie, Terry will be missed by their children Terry MacDonald of Calgary, Todd Macdonald of Calgary, Rod (Rosa) Anderson of Sherwood Park, AB and Stacey (Warren) Ekdahl of Calgary; seven grandchildren, Ray-Al Hochman, Raeleigh Anderson, Rodney Anderson Jr., Tyler MacDonald, Emma MacDonald, Teegan Ekdahl and Tristan Ekdahl. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brother Donald (Nancy) MacDonald of Winnipeg, MB and sister-in-law Diana (Ken) Takasaki of Cranbrook, BC. Terry was predeceased by his father Donald, mother Mary, son Trevor, father-in-law Charlie and his mother-in-law (and partner in crime) Mollie.
In his earlier years, Terry (aka T-Mac) would often be found on “course”, as he called his golfing activities. Terry enjoyed his weekends watching football that later turned it into a full time hobby with retirement. Terry was always known to be the centre of attention at social and family functions because of his quick wit and great sense of humor. Terry enjoyed a long career in the financial industry with most of his career at Scotiabank and First Calgary until his retirement on October 31, 2006.
A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held at a later date. Thank you to the Dr.’s and staff at the Foothills Hospital ICU (A-Pod) for the care and attention you gave Terry.
