He also leaves his sister Patricia, brother-in-law Gary (Esther) Gould and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Edmonton, he later played hockey for the Galt Red Wings, where he was a teammate of Gordie Howe. He later played for the Dallas Texans, Valleyfield Braves, Los Angeles Ramblers and the Trail Smoke Eaters.

Terry served on Edmonton City Council from 1971 – 2007. His accomplishments while on Edmonton City Council and as Mayor were many but he was very proud to save the Hotel MacDonald from the wrecking ball and his advocacy for the development of Edmonton’s North Saskatchewan River Valley as a park area.
