We regret to announce the peaceful passing of SYLVIA RYDZIK on December 23rd, 2016, at Hospice House in Vernon at the age of 85 years. Born in Vegreville, Alberta, Sylvia and her family moved to Vernon, November 1944. This is where she met her life partner, Edward Rydzik. They were married in August of 1948. In search of work and to be with Edward’s family, they briefly moved to Toronto where they had their first born. But the Vernon location and lifestyle tugged at their hearts, so in late 1949, they moved back to Vernon.
