Obituary of STANLEY RUBIK
STANLEY RUBIK
Peacefully on October 25, 2017 Stanley passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 86.
Stanley is survived by daughter-in-law Christine; granddaughter Elizabeth; sister Helena Bekus and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Augustyna; son Eugene; parents Agnieszka and Stanislaw; brother Zdzislaw; sister Celina and brother-in-law Tadeusz.
Stanley was born in Male Rzeki and came to Canada with his parents. He worked at various jobs during his lifetime, but found the greatest fulfillment from his work at the University of Manitoba where he stayed until his retirement.
Weekends were often spent walking or going for leisurely drives with his beloved wife Augustyna.
His granddaughter, Elizabeth, who he would affectionately call “Ella” was the pride and joy of his life. He will be greatly missed by all of those who know him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with Rosary one half hour prior. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
