Entered into eternal life at McAuley Convent, on October 19, 2017, Sister Irene Kennedy, age 95 years. Predeceased by her parents, John (Mary Tobin) Kennedy, two brothers, James (Theresa) and Peter, one sister, Susan (Melvin) King. She will be fondly remembered by her Religious Congregation, the Sisters of Mercy, and a number of nieces,nephews, cousins and friends. Waking at McAuley Convent, 250 Waterford Bridge Road, St.John’s, Sunday, October 22 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Monday 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 24 at 9:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish Church, Waterford Bridge Road, with interment to follow at the Sisters of Mercy plot in Belvedere Cemetery. May she rest in peace.
