Sills, Joan Beatrice – peacefully at Q.H.C. Belleville General Hospital on Thursday, December 29th, 2016 in her 85th year. Daughter of the late William and Anne Meens. Beloved wife of the late Keith Sills. Dear mother of Bruce (Ida) Sills, Kelvin Sills, Joanne (Rod) Moring, Steven (Tanya Hyderman) Sills. Predeceased by son Franklin Sills and daughter Darlene Sills. Dear grandmother of Aaron, Harley, Jackson, Jamie, Courtney and remembered by her extended family Darrel (Sharon) Seeley and their children; Amanda (Kevin) Crocker, Connor, and Stephanie (Dom) Donato. Sister of Bill (Myrtle) Meens of Massassauga, Harry (Jeanette) Meens of Halifax and predeceased by sisters Gladys (Harry) Doolittle, Katherine (Fred) Titus, Hilda (Roy) Milligan and by brothers Arthur (Ethel) Meens, Hilda (Roy) Milligan, James (Mary) Meens and Fred (Rose) Meens. Friends are invited to call at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273) on Wednesday January 4th, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday January 5th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation 1 hour prior. Interment to follow at Belleville Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Steele Family Centre. If desired, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
