Obituary of Sherman Everard
Everard, Sherman Edmund – Passed away peacefully at the Georgetown Hospital on Friday December 15th, 2017, with his beloved wife of 63 years Rachel by his side. He was predeceased by his cherished daughter Jocelyn. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Michelle. He was a loving grandfather to Nicole (Bryce) and Ian (Ashley). Born in Timmins, he had a distinguished career with Air Canada from 1952-1985 retiring as Chief Pilot on the 1011’s. He served as president of the Retired Pilots Association. Friends and associates will always remember him for his generosity and warm smile. He devoted several years volunteering with Community Living in Scarborough. The family extends their gratitude to the compassionate staff at Georgetown Hospital Continuing Care and to Dr. Chu for his unfailing care. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church (14400 Arygll Rd., Georgetown) on Tuesday December 19th, 2017 at 10:00 am. Cremation to follow.
