The passing of Sheldon C. Illsley of Burtts Corner, NB, occurred on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at White Rapids Manor. Born on October 1, 1934 in Lakeville, NS he was the son of the late Emerson and Edith (Jackson) Illsley. Sheldon served in the Canadian Armed Forces and was a past member of the Oromocto Lions Club.

Sheldon is survived by his children, Brenda Bussieres (Dan) and Rhonda Dunlop (Noel) both of Fredericton, NB, Sheldon Illsley (Virginia Paul) of New Hampshire, Charles “Chip” Illsley (Kerry) and Barry Illsley (Carol) both of Fredericton, NB and Eric Illsley of Oromocto, NB and their mother, Patricia (Cartile) Illsley; grandchildren, Natasha and Brandon Bussieres, Matthew and Whitney Illsley and Erin Illsley; great grandchildren, Lauren and Kate Illsley; brother, Lloyd Illsley (Helene) of Ontario; several nieces, nephews, and special friend, Doreen Jones of Burtts Corner, NB. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Glen, Carroll, George, Boyd and Wayne Illsley.

The visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 7-9 pm. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
