1954-2017
Following a brief illness, Sharlene Paul of Tobique First Nation, NB,
passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on December 26, 2017.
Sharlene was born in Tobique First Nation, NB, on January 2, 1954. She
was the daughter of the late Frank and Ida (Laporte) Paul. Sharlene
leaves behind her daughter, Paula Grant (Micheline Bourque) of Tobique
First Nation, NB; her grandson, T. Louis Grant of Tobique First
Nation, NB; her sister, Cathy Paul of Tobique First Nation, NB; and
her four-legged friend, Ewok the dog.
Sharlene was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Dean Paul; her
daughter, Ann-Marie Grant; her sisters, Arlene Messina, Loretta Paul,
Deloris Dominger, Patricia Bear, and Priscilla Paul; her brothers,
Leonard, Ernie, Brian, Louis, and Ronnie Paul.
Sharlene was a member of the National Native Women’s Association of
Canada. She was also a spiritual advisor and an Elder in the
community.
Resting at her home, 292 Main St., Tobique First Nation, NB, from 4 pm
on Wednesday until the funeral service. Funeral service will be held
on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 2 pm from St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
Father Curtis Sappier celebrating. Interment will be in the parish
cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover.
