Sandra Ann Chisholm MacLean Aitken passed away peacefully after a heroic battle with cancer on August 19th, 2017 in Victoria, BC. She was born March 8th, 1958 in Dunoon, Argyll, Scotland.
Sandra is survived by her daughter Claire, brother Colin, his wife Elizabeth, their children Kyle, Quinlan and Liam and cousin Irene. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Sandra immigrated to Canada with in her family in 1966. After a short stint in Toronto, the family moved to the West Coast of Canada finally settling in Salt Spring for the remainder of Sandra’s grade school years. It was here that Sandra nurtured her love of tennis, an interest she carried throughout her life.
A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive on Sunday, August 27th, 2017 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate that donations be made to the BC Cancer Agency, 2410 Lee Avenue Victoria BC V8R 6V5.
