Ross James Hindle, of Owen Sound, has gone home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. He passed peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, at the Bethell Hospice in Inglewood, on Monday evening, February 6th, 2017, at the age of 81 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Shirley Hindle (nee McKaye) for 59 years. Loving father of Debbie Rydall and her husband, Don, of Orangeville. Proud grandfather of Jeremy (Mary), Travis (Erin), Curtis (Monica) and great-grandfather of Riley, Brianna and Silas. Ross will be sadly missed by his in-laws, Joan McKaye, of Haliburton, Stuart McKaye (Jackie), of Ajax; Malcolm McKaye (Fil), of Pickering and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, James and Irene Hindle; his brother, William Hindle; his sisters, Loreen (Sid) Bolton and Lois (Vincent) Burnaccioni; his parents-in-law, Rev. AJ and Ellen McKaye; his brother-in-law, Alan McKaye; his sister-in-law, Colleen McKaye.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Wednesday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Ross Hindle will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, February 9th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jack Tweddle officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Central Westside United Church or the Prostrate Cancer Canada as an expression of sympathy.
