1936-2016
Rose Marie Thompson was promoted to Glory on December 11,
2016. Born on December 25,1936 in Minto, NB, she was the daughter of
the late George and Josephine Walsh and the wife of the late Lester
Thompson.
Survived by four children, Brenda (David) Gallant of Minto,
Mark (Candy) Thompson of Petitcodiac, Greg (Christine) Thompson of
Minto and Lori (Bruce) McClary of Fredericton; twelve grandchildren,
and several great grandchildren as well as great- great grandchildren;
one sister, Alice Darrah of Fredericton; three brothers, Johnny
(Joyce) Walsh of Hamilton, ON, Gerald Walsh of Elmsdale, NS, Bobby
(Vicki) Walsh of Kensington, PE; one son in law, Rodney Ingraham as
well as several nieces and nephews.
Rose was predeceased by her parents, husband, Lester,
daughter, Roberta, grandson, Randy and great-grandson, Kaleb, two
brothers, Raymond and twin brother, Edward; one sister,
Annie.
Visitation will be held at Bethel Baptist Church Minto on
Saturday, December 17th, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM
followed by the funeral service at 3:00 pm. Rev. Phillip Crossman will
officiate. A Private family interment will be held in the United
Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial
donations in Rose’s memory may be Bethel Baptist Missionary
Fund, Extramural Program or Hospice Fredericton (The “miracle
house” as Mom called it). Many thanks to the Extramural
Program and the staff and residence of Hospice House Fredericton.
McAdam’s Funeral Home has been entrusted with
arrangements.
