SAINT-IGNACE, NB – Rose-Eva Richard 93, of
Saint-Ignace, NB passed away peacefully at the Villa Maria,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Monday, November 6, 2017. Born in
Saint-Ignace, she was the daughter of the late Placide Gallant and
late Léocadie (Desroches) Gallant. Rose-Eva loved the
outdoors and spending time at the camp.
Rose-Eva will be sadly missed by her two sons, Alonzo Richard
(Lauretta) and Onil Richard (Magella) both of Saint-Ignace; four
grandchildren, Michelle (Daniel Hebert), Denis (Melissa), Philip
(Tania), Jacques (Lisa) and eight great grandchildren, Justin, Danika,
Marco, Cedric, Patrick, Jeremy, Bruno and
Sabrina.
She is also survived by three sisters, Alice Robichaud (late
Paul-Emile) of Saint-Louis, Germaine Gallant of Montreal, QC, Laurida
Johnson (late Adelard) of Dieppe; two brothers, Philias Gallant
(Yolande) of Don Mills, ON, Valmont Gallant
(Thérèse) of St. Ignace and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides by her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Alphé Richard; four brothers, Paul-Emile, Laurie (late
Georgette), Gerard (Ursule), Yvon (Rose-Mai) and two sisters, sister
Gemma F.M.A., Rose-Anna (Bernard Brideau).
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Thursday from 7-9 pm, Friday at 9:00 am until
departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated
on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00 am, St. Ignace de Loyola Roman
Catholic Church, Saint-Ignace. Donations in
Rose-Eva’s memory may be made to the New Brunswick
Alzheimer’s Society. Arrangements are in care of
Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
