Obituary for Ronald Theyers
The family announces with sorrow his death on Saturday July 15, 2017 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife Irene (nee Weeks) of 64 years, his children Brenda Theyers (Jim Ducker) of Anchorage, Alaska, Elaine Blain (Randy Webb) of Timmins, Bruce Theyers (Jenifer) of Collingwood and Dennis Theyers (Eliza) of Toronto, his nine grandchildren, his ten great-grandchildren, and his sister Rosalind Tremble (Fred) of Toronto. Predeceased by his brothers Ralph and Raymond Theyers. Ronald worked for the Department of Highways and then was a teacher at Northern College. He was very involved in volunteering with the Shriners and Mason Lodge. He played the role as Rondo the clown for many years doing hospital and school visits, as well as parades, all being fundraising events for the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Montreal.
A funeral service will be held on Friday July 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel followed by a luncheon in the Lessard-Stephens Reception Centre. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the
