PICHE, Ronald Joseph It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather at the Espanola Regional Hospital and Health Centre on December 12th, 2017. He was the son of Theodore and Romea Piché (nee Bois). Dad had a wonderful, full life and left us at the awesome age of 88 years old. He has now gone to be with his wife Theresa (predeceased 2013). Their marriage of 64 years was blessed with three children Dennis (predeceased 1955), Louise (Marcel Gamelin) and Michael (Peg Ferguson). His legacy includes four grandchildren Derek (predeceased 2015), Marc (Maria), Michelle (Dave Parker) and Liz. His pride and joy were his great-grandchildren Myranda, Myles, Anderson and Abigail. Dad’s family included his brothers Harvey, Maurice, Frank, Richard, Roland and sisters Gabrielle, Estelle, Jeannine, Bernie (predeceased). Dad travelled to Guatemala to build a church, school and hospital. He was director of the Knights of Columbus Youth Camp for 10 years. He was a charter member of The Knights of Columbus Council 3422 and member of the Fourth Degree. He was a member of the Espanola General Hospital Board and very involved in his parish in his younger years. Dad was an avid wood worker and many children enjoyed his toys and name trains. He has truly left this world having made a difference. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 14th, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Bourcier Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jude Parish on Friday, December 15th, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. with Father Raymond Akor officiating. Interment in the Espanola Cemetery. Donation to the Espanola Regional Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
