Ronald Bellefontaine

Age 83 of Lawrencetown, passed away November 30 2016 in Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by family.
Born in Dartmouth, he was a son of the late George and Elizabeth (Pettipas) Bellefontaine.
Ron was a plasterer by trade, and was self-employed for many years. He also worked at the Dartmouth Shipyards. He retired from the Halifax Regional Rehabilitation Centre.
He was a former member of Halifax Antique Car Club and the Eastern Shore Cruisers, where he made many lasting friendships. He had a deep love of antique cars, and was a proud owner of many.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty (White) Bellefontaine; daughters, Darlene (Perry) Conrod, Porters Lake; Charmaine, Lawrencetown; grandchildren, B.J. (Melanie Sibley) Patterson, Jonathan Conrod, Stephanie (Chris Williams) Conrod, Anthony (Amber Creamer) Conrod; great-granddaughter, Hannah; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ron was predeceased by sisters Jennie Horne, Joan Thibert, Adelaide Thorne; and brother, Cecil.
Cremation has taken place. A gathering for family and friends will take place at 144 Baker Drive, Dartmouth, in the common room, Thursday, December 8 2016 from 2 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dartmouth General. Interment will take place at a later date.
Special thanks to Dr. Brad Izzard, Emergency staff and the nurses of 4 East and 4 West Dartmouth General.
