Roger Ermen
1934-2017
The family of Roger Arthur Ermen sadly announces
his passing on December 9, 2017. Roger lived at Kodiac Place in
Petitcodiac, however, Goshen was always his home.
Roger was born on April 12, 1934 in Moncton and was the son
of the late Charles and Grace (Keith) Ermen.
Roger worked at many jobs throughout his life and eventually
found his true calling which was painting houses. He worked for Arnold
Milburn and Bedford Buck whom he loved and admired. Life was never
easy but he made the best of it. He had a gift for playing the guitar
and singing and took great pride in the fact that he had taught
himself to play. He loved to party, watch hockey, tell stories of the
past and especially telling a joke.
Roger is survived by his son Jim (Colleen); his daughters
Nancy (Mark) and Carol (Terry); his grandchildren: David, Christopher,
Brittney, Carrie, Kathleen and Russel; sisters in law: Verna Ermen and
Lorraine Ermen; his special brother: Guy Colpitts (Winnie) whom he
loved dearly; several nieces and nephews and great
friends.
Roger was predeceased by his wife Agnes (Robinson) Ermen; his
brothers: Walter, Earl (Buddy) and Charlie.
Roger had made the decision that he didn’t want a
funeral or visitation. He wanted everyone to remember him the way they
knew him. If that was singing and playing, having a party or maybe in
a negative light, so be it. Roger had a quote he was famous for saying
and he wanted to be remembered for it. “If I’d known I
was going to live this long, I’d have taken better care of
myself.” He died as he lived, his way.
If desired memorials to a local food bank would be
appreciated by the family.
Arrangements are in the care of the Salisbury Funeral Home
