Robert “Bob” Angus MacBean
Robert “Bob” A. MacBean, 90, of Moncton,
and formerly of Plaster Rock, passed away peacefully at The Dr.
Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Tuesday, September 5,
2017.
Born in Buffalo, New York, he was the son of the late Angus
and Helen (Bell) MacBean. Bob was a retired Shop Teacher and former
Vice Principal of Tobique Valley High School, Plaster Rock, where he
worked for several years. He attended the United Church of Canada and
was a former King Lion and active member of Plaster Rock Lions Club.
Bob will be sadly missed by his wife, Marie (Michaud)
MacBean; sons, Randy (Marilyn) of Plaster Rock and Angus (Tanya) of
Havelock; precious grandchildren, Alexander, Bruce, Andrea
and Marsha; cherished great grandchildren, Abby, Benjamin and Autumn;
stepchildren, Angela Graham (Jeff) of Centerville, Andrea LeBlanc
(Marc) of Moncton and Annette Flanders of Halifax; three step
grandchildren; brothers, William MacBean of MacAdam and
Donald MacBean of Oshawa, ON and sister, Sandra
“Sandy” (Michael) McNeil of Fredericton; as well as
several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was
predeceased by his first wife, Jackie and one brother, Ernest.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to
celebrate and honour Bob’s life will be held at Fergusons
Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11:00 am with
Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home
Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be in Burtland
Brook Cemetery, Plaster Rock.
