Obituary for Rilla Aleda Shier
Shier; Rilla Aleda(nee Roberts)
Peacefully, with her family by her side, passed on Monday, October 9, 2017 of Feversham in her 85th year. Beloved wife and dear companion of 49 years to Lloyd. Loving mother of Daniel(Kathy) Graham of Feversham, Bill(Pam) Graham of Cincinnati, Peter(Cheryl) Graham of Owen Sound, Susan(Doug) Smith of Feversham and Frank(Faith) Shier of Maxwell. Loving grandmother of Kevin(Courtney) Graham, Jenna(Justin) Coe, Christopher(Tamara) Graham, Caitlyn(Ian) Graham, Jody(Mario) Graham, Kyle, Nathaniel, Hailey, Alysha, Quinn, Kurtis Shier and the late Corey Graham. Loved and remembered by her great grandchildren Corey, Ruby and Charly. Dear sister of Iris(Herb) Bechtel of Brampton and Sam(the late Shirley) Roberts of British Columbia. Predeceased by husband Clifford Graham, sisters Frances Conn, Phillys McGowan, Thelma Roberts and brother Jim Roberts. She will be sadly missed by her large extended family and friends.
Rilla was born in Osprey Township to Milton and Bertie Roberts. Rilla was a strong woman of faith who had unconditional love for everyone. Her family was the most important thing in her life. Her greatest joy was spending time with all the grandchildren. She was extremely proud of each and every one. They always brought a smile to her face.
Funeral service will be held from the Osprey Community Centre on Thursday, October 12 at 11am. In memorial of Rilla, memorial contributions to Mount Pleasant Church would be greatly appreciated.
