1958-2016
Following a courageous battle with cancer Richard “Rick”
Donald Crandlemire, of Oakland, passed away peacefully in his sleep on
Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Upper River Valley Hospital,
Waterville. Born July 13, 1958 in Woodstock he was the son of the late
Douglas and Norma (Rogers) Crandlemire. He was also predeceased by an
infant sister, Deborah.
Rick was a loyal and respected friend to all. He was known for his
easy smile, quick wit and immeasurable generosity. He thrived for
adventures and had a ‘need for speed’. He loved his big boy ‘toys’ and
spent many a fine hour polishing them.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Margo; his son, Calvin
Crandlemire (Michelle) and
their children Chelsea, Evelyn and Roselyn; his daughter, Danielle
Kelly (Colin) and their children, Rylan, Norah and Emeric; 3 brothers,
Brent Crandlemire (Cathy), Wayne Crandlemire (Lorraine) and Danny
Crandlemire (Rosalee); 1 sister, Wanda Hamilton (Kenny); father and
mother in law, Gerald and Mavis Keirstead; brother in law, Mark
Keirstead; sister in law, Karla Keirstead as well as several nieces,
nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from
4-8 pm. A Celebration of Rick’s Life will be held on Monday, December
19, 2016 from the Florenceville Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. Rev. Mike
Palmer will officiate. In Lieu of flowers, donations made to the River
Valley Cancer Support Group or the Avondale Cemetery would be
