Obituary of Richard Butler
Butler: Richard “Dick”, a resident of Oakdale, passed away peacefully at the Bluewater Health CEE Site, Petrolia on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the age of 81. Born in Dawn Twp., son of the late Alonzo and Mary Elizabeth (Huffman) Butler. Beloved husband and best friend of Kathryn (McIntosh) Butler. Loving father of Jennifer and Allan Anderson of Petrolia and Tony Butler of Oakdale . Proud Grandpa of Joe, Sally, Lauren,Karly and Mark. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Helen McGuire, Lee and Mary Louise Butler, Bryce and Dorothy Butler and Marguerite Butler, Carol Broadbent, Judith and John Hutson,Sharon and Paul Doey. Predeceased by his daughters Sally and Bonnie Butler (1981), brothers Bob Butler, Ted Butler, George Butler, sister Mary Toffelmire, brothers-in-law Morley McGuire, Clint Toffelmire,Wallace Mcintosh, Bev Broadbent and sisters-in-law Blanche, Myrtle, Louise and Noreen Butler, Freda McIntosh. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The Butler family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM. The Florence I.O.O.F. Lodge No.196 will hold a memorial service on Tuesday evening at 6:45 PM. The Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kathy Hawley officiating. Cremation with Interment in Shetland Cemetery at a later date.
