Richard Stairs
1948-2017
Richard Stairs of Beresford and formerly
of Bathurst, passed away Tuesday October 24, 2017, at the Chaleur
Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 68, after a lengthy
illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Ivan and Grace
(Wallace) Stairs.
Richard was retired from
the Belledune Fertilizer Plant and was fondly known as “The
Carburetor
Doctor”.
Besides his wife, Judy
(Chiasson) Stairs, he is survived by one son, Andrew (Jennifer) of
Fredericton.
One grandson on the
way.
One brother, Robert Stairs (Lyne) of
Bathurst. Several nieces and
nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a
son, Lloyd.
The family will receive
relatives and friends at Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst
(www.elhatton.com) on Friday November 3, 2017,
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be
celebrated on Saturday November 4, 2017 at
Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst, at 10
a.m.

made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the
donor’s choice.
