Wake services will be held at the residence of Joel/Jacey Whitney (House Number 940 Bullhead Road, Tsuut’ina Nation) on Thursday, February 23 at 1 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11 am at Our Lady of Peace, Tsuut’ina Nation. Reanne’s wishes were to be cremated. Feast to follow after church service @ Bullhead Hall on Tsuut’ina Nation.

Whitney, Reanne Mae
May 11, 1982 – February 19, 2017
It is with heavy hearts and sudden sadness that we announce with deep sorrow of the passing of our beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunty, niece, granddaughter, cousin and friend of Reanne on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the age of 34 years. Reanne is survived by her two children Troy and Tiannah Rowan.
She was born at the Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary, Alberta and was raised up in Grande Centre, AB, Fairmont B.C, Calgary and settled in her home in Tsuut’ina Nation. She attended school in Tsuut’ina, Invermere B.C, & Calgary where she made a lot of close friends. Reanne had many friends and loved to be around family and had an awesome sense of humor. Her Smile would radiate with unconditional love for everybody.
Survived by her loving parents Charlene Whitney, Ed/Marie Crook, Rory Houle, sisters, Rae-Dawn Whitney, brothers James Whitney, Justin Lynch, Jack Crook; grandfather; Larry/Flora Whitney, great aunts; Kathy Whitney, Marge Whitney; Aunties, Lisa Whitney/Peter Manywounds, Sharon Whitney, Marilee Whitney, Shawna Wilkenson, Uncles, Randy/Shelly Whitney, Paul Whitney, Richard/Crystal Whitney, Kelly/Stephanie Whitney, The McGilvary, Mckay from Manitoba, God Parents John/Cheryl Whitney. Reanne had many cousins that she took as brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews that she dearly loved.
She was predeceased by grandma, Pat Whitney, uncles Rick Whitney, great grandma, Helen McGilvary, May Whitney, and Lawrence Whitney. Special friends: Sounder Runner, Kevin Many Wounds, Ruby Cook, and Ron Big Plume.
