Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Raymond Clifford Thomas of St. Albert on April 9, 2017, at the age of 96 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons: Andrew (Tara) Thomas, and Bryan (Andrea) Thomas; daughter, Deborah Thomas; grandsons, Kaedan and Liam Thomas.
Raymond was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Christina Dalziel Thomas; devoted daughter in law, Andrea Ursulak Thomas, parents William and Alice; siblings: William, Lillian, Edward, Herbert and Gordon.
Ray was born in Cardiff, Wales in 1920. Upon serving in World War II in the British Navy, Raymond immigrated to South Africa then Canada where he met and married Christina. They raised their family in Edmonton and retired to St. Albert where they spent time travelling and enjoying their family. Throughout his life, Raymond was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed supporting his sons and grandsons in soccer and hockey.
