It is with great sadness that we, the family of Raymond, announce his passing at New Waterford Consolidated Hospital on December 18, 2017.
He was a son of Alexander MacKeigan and Hildegard Kehoe of Louisbourg.
His true interests in life were animals and nature.
He was survived by his brother and daily visitor, George MacKeigan.
He was predeceased by siblings, Dorothy Vardy, Allison MacKeigan, Monica Lahey, and his beloved nephew, Dexter Vardy who he spent 30 years with everyday. Many thanks for the lovely care provided to Raymond during his short struggle with cancer by the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital Staff, the Palliative Care Team, Dr. Bridget Lowry, Dr. Kodadad, and Dr.Azer. There will be no funeral. Donations in loving memory of Raymond MacKeigan can be made to Sydney SPCA.
