July 10, 1952 – November 4, 2017
On November 4th, 2017, Ralph Engerdahl: husband, father, grandpa and brother passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Ralph was born on July 10th, 1952 in Cold Lake, Alberta, son of Vernon and Augot Engerdahl, into a large family of eleven children. Ralph spent his childhood in Grand Centre – Cold Lake, Alberta and Maple Ridge, BC. On March 31, 1973 he married Linda Arkesteyn and together they settled in Calgary, Alberta. Ralph worked in construction and proudly owned and operated Bin Boss waste management for over twenty five years. Ralph enjoyed fishing (especially catching a blue marlin and sturgeon), camping, driving his boat, coaching the Calgary Flames from his seat in section 212, barbecuing his famous ribs, and spending time with his family. He is survived by Linda, his wife of forty four years; daughters, Marla (John) Stevens and Angela (Greg) Krauss; four grandchildren: Daniel, Alexandra, Logan and Brayden; and many family and friends.
