With her family by her side at Grey Bruce Health Services, Markdale on Friday, September 22, 2017 in her 78th year. Beloved wife of Norm of Ceylon. Loving mother to Norma(Fred) Hunt of Elliot Lake, Nancy Garvey of Hanover, Terry(Leanda) of Owen Sound, and Brian (Merdena) of Burlington. Adored grandmother of Wade, Kyle, Charles, Richard, David, Logan and Caleb. Greatly missed by siblings Katherine McBeth of Owen Sound, Isabelle Simpson of Surrey, BC, Alvin(Edith) Wright of Port Elgin, Jim Wright of Tara, Donna Brodie of Owen Sound, Rob(Barb) Wright of Annan, Murray(Betty) Wright of Creston, BC and Jackie Brown of Surrey, BC. Predeceased by parents Edwin Strathy and Mary(William) Wright and siblings Doug Strathy, Gordon Strathy and Linda Carleton.
Patricia spent many years tending to the gardens at her home in Ceylon and loved flowers very much. She also loved preserving all sorts of fruits and vegetables to store for winter months, often making enough pickles to feed all of her friends and family. Pat always made certain that nobody went hungry, especially not her family who she loved so dearly. She will be so dearly missed by all that knew her.
The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception Ltd, on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service from the chapel on Monday at 11am.
