It is with sadness that the family of Edna Demaniuk announces her passing.
She is survived by son Rick; grandsons Jeff (Erin) and Adam (Heather); sisters Rose and Helen ;and daughter-in-law Nancy.
She was predeceased by husband Richard (‘Dick’) in 1998; son Gord in 2016; and sisters Ann, Mary, Kate, Nettie; and brother John.
Edna was born near Fenwood, Saskatchewan then moved to the Vancouver area as a young lady. It was there that she met and married Dick and they moved to… Saskatoon shortly after.
They spent many happy years there. They loved to entertain, play cards and go dancing.
They were both very involved with the Nutana Legion. After Dick passed away Edna lived in Abbotsford, B.C. for sixteen years then resided in Okotoks for the last two.
She was a fantastic cook and perogies were her specialty. Right up until the last days of her life she was an inpeccable dresser. She always had colorful jewelry to match her outfits and her hair and make-up were perfect. She was a feisty lady who had a heart of gold when it came to her family and dear friends.
Edna will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
