The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Saturday, January 7, 2017, at the age of 86 years. Husband of the late Marie-Luce (née Lalonde) Laframboise. Survived by his friend and companion Alda Parent of Sturgeon Falls. Son of the late Omer Laframboise and of the late Eva (née Riopelle) Laframboise. Loving father of Marielle Major (late Michel) of Chelmsford and Guy Laframboise (June-Lynn) of Sturgeon Falls. Step-father of Linda Sura (Mike) of Timmins, Harvey Parent (Brenda) of Sault- Sainte-Marie and Denis Parent (Kathy) of Pontypool. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his two granddaughters Kristine Major and Monique Harju (William) and his step-greatgrandchild Michael and Chad Sura, Ryan and Kyle Parent, Roger, Daniel, Mark, Wanda and Lisa Parent. Dear brother of Laurette Labelle (late Théodore) of North Bay. Predeceased by his sisters Alda Ouellette (late Aimé), Anita Gaudette (late Bruno) and Alida Levac (late Alcide). A heart felt thank you to the staff at Au Château for the excellent continuous care provide to Oscar and his family. The family will receive friends at Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Friday, January 13, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Funeral Home.
