Norman David Kernested

“I see the line of my people back to the beginning, and they call to me”
Following a short illness, David passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital, Winnipeg, Man.
He was born 6 July 1951 and grew up on the family farm, Kjarna, in Husavik, MB., of which he had many happy memories. In later life he settled in Selkirk, MB.
He was predeceased by his parents Kristjan Kernested and Sigridur Hanson Kernested, sister Christine, brothers; Vilhelm “Bill” and his wife Norma; Ingimar and Emil. Left to mourn his passing are his sisters Margaret (Fred), Lilja (Grant) and Violet, and sister-in-law Margaret.
He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Kristine and Bradley; Gavin and Kenneth; Kevin, Craig and Katherine; Kristjan and Candace; Joseph and Bryan; Karl and Kandace; and many friends that he made in Selkirk.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David’s memory to the Husavik Cemetery, Box 3061, RR1, Gimli, MB R0C 1B1.
