Norm left us peacefully on Christmas morning. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Norm was the youngest of seven children born to James Batty and Angus Emburg. Norm met his wife Elizabeth (deceased) and they married in England. Together they had 4 children, Byron (Ruth), Devin (Jodi), Heather (David) and Warren; and 5 grandchildren, Taryl (Ben), Brandon, Carly (Diego), Ty and Jayden. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Norm’s family through www.evanjstrong.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to many of the charities that Norm supported; The Mustard Seed, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Stars Air Ambulance or The Calgary Herald Christmas Fund, to list a few. The family would like to thank the many friends and staff at the Canyon Meadows Atria Retirement Residence and the Staff at Rocky View Hospital for their kindness and care.
