It is with great sadness we share the sudden passing of our beloved Nola. Nola will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend Robert, their precious children, Dane (Krista), Adam (Megan), and Alycia (Brent), her beautiful grandchildren Mason and Madeline, by her parents, Neil and Norma Wiechman, by her parents-in-law, Bernie and Marge Praznik, and by her brothers and sisters Ian (Lynne), Lori (Dale), and Darryl (Caroline). Nola will be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
With the ability to captivate everyone with her stories, her incredible sense of humour, and a huge heart, Nola was loved by all. Her laugh warmed the room and the hearts of everyone in it. No occasion had a shortage of gifts, food or place settings as long as Nola was involved. She loved life to the fullest and sharing that love with her family. Whether you knew her as auntie, or as mom, or as meemaw, you always knew that she would take care of you without a second thought for herself.
A funeral mass will take place at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 353 St. Mary Ave., at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, with Most Reverend Archbishop Richard Gagnon presiding.
Our family would like to express our gratitude to the staff of the MICU at Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion. Memorial donations in memory of Nola can be made to Rossbrook House, 658 Ross Avenue, Winnipeg.
