Bathurst – Mrs. Noella
Poirier, loving wife of 47 years to Paul Poirier, of Sutherland Ave,
Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday December 20, 2016, at the age of 65,
at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst after a courageous battle
with cancer. Born in Dunlop, she was the daughter of the late John and
Margaret “Peggy” (Pleasant)

She was a 30 year member of the Ladies
Auxiliary of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion,
Bathurst.
Noella could often be heard saying
“life is good” she enjoyed gardening, many flowers in her
yard, trees that she named after loved ones that passed before her.
She would sit in her “mom cave” and watch the hummingbirds
feed outside her
windows.
Noella would be described as the best
“Grandma” by her precious grandchildren. “We can at
Grandma’s” was their motto. She created wonderful
memories and adventures when the children
visited.
Noella also was not just a mother to her
own children; she opened her heart to her children’s friends
and invited them in her home as her
own.
Besides her husband, she is survived by
two children: Paul J. Poirier
(Myriam Jean-Pierre) and Peggy Poirier (Andrew Mason) both of Saint
John.
Devoted grandmother to her two
grandchildren: Jaclyn and
Ethan.
Three brothers: John Jr. White (Carole)
of South Tetagouche, Ronnie White (Nadine) of Dunlop and Allan White
(Joanne) of Alcida.
Two sisters: Margaret Morais (Raymond)
and Suzanne Roy (Gervais) both of Dunlop. Several nieces and
nephews.
A special thank you to the oncology
department at the Georges-Dumont Hospital in Moncton and Chaleur
Regional Hospital. Also the palliative unit and the extra mural
program in Bathurst.
She was also predeceased by an infant
sister, Florence and adopted Nephew, Sean Mallard.
Upon her request,
there will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Friday December 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. from the Sacred
Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
Arrangements are in the care of
