NICKERSON – Pernetta Rose, 80, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital on Friday, December 15, 2017 with her family by her side.
Born in Southwest Port Mouton, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Teresa (Wentzell) Williams.
Pernetta loved to knit, read and do crossword puzzles and enjoyed cooking and baking. She was the “phone a friend” for advice with cooking and baking questions. Pernetta also enjoyed her daily telephone calls from her sister Edith, which usually ended with a “joke of the day”. Pernetta’s family meant everything to her and she will be sadly missed but fondly and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.
Pernetta is survived by her daughters Laura Allison of Port Mouton; Karen (Mark) Oickle of Milton, her grandchildren Josh and Adrienne Allison and Alyssa and Ethan Oickle. Her sister Edith Williams of Port Mouton and her brother Donnie (Mary Ann) of Port Mouton.
Besides her parents, Pernetta was predeceased by her husband Alfred and her sisters Betty, Florence, Eleanor, and Mary and her brother Arthur.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. At Pernetta’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
