SHEPPARD, Nicholas Patrick- With a heavy heart we announce
the passing of Nicholas Patrick Sheppard, 22, of Kentville and
formerly of Mulgrave. Nicholas passed away peacefully surrounded by
family on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, in the Evergreen Home for
Special Care, Kentville.
Born on March 27, 1994, in Antigonish, he was a son of Todd
and Donna (Antle) Sheppard. He grew up in Mulgrave then moved to
Kentville in August of 2009. Nicholas will always be remembered by his
infectious smile and his powerful hugs that made your problems melt
away.
He is survived by his parents, Todd and Donna Sheppard,
Mulgrave; brother, Jeremy Michael Sheppard (Falen), Mulgrave; maternal
grandparents, Donald and Liz Antle, Mulgrave; paternal grandparents,
Bert and Vanessa Lee, Mulgrave; aunts, Leanne Ehler (Terry), Mulgrave;
Jenny Sheppard (James), Port Hawkesbury; uncles, Chris Antle (Andrea),
John Antle (Jane), both of Mulgrave; cousins, Brooklyn, Myah, Cole,
Crissinda, Dallas, Dakota, Savannah and MacKenzie.
Nicholas attended MMEC, TEC, NKEC, until he graduated then to
L’Arche – Cornerstone day program in Wolfville.
Nicholas holds a special place in everyone’s heart who knew
him, especially his close friends, Dana Feltham, Mike Messen, Jenny
Collishaw and god brother, Corey Jackson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, from 4-9 p.m.
in the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral service will be held 2
p.m. Sunday, February 5, from St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church,
Mulgrave with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial will take place
at a later date. Special thanks to the staff of Evergreen Home for
Special Care for their love to Nicholas throughout the years. Memorial
donations may be made to Joubert Syndrome Foundation, I.W.K.,
L’Arche Homefires, or to Evergreen Home for Special Care,
Kentville. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis
