On Wednesday, May 24th, 2017, surrounded by her family, Nellie peacefully passed away at East Gate Lodge in Beausejour, Manitoba, at the age of 88 years.
She has now been reunited with her husband in heaven. Nellie was predeceased by her husband Edward (2007); daughter Frances Bilan (1982); parents John and Francis Naurocki; sisters Helen (Walter) Miles, Bertha (Henry) Borysowich and brothers Wilbert Naurocki, Stanley Naurocki, John Sabatowski and Joe (Carrie) Sabatowski. She will be remembered by her children Susan (Paul), Roger (Diane); grandchildren, Jodie (Grahme), Jason (Hayley), Jennifer (Troy), Clayton (Lisa), Chad (Jen), Cynthia (Richard) and Candace (Scott) Savage and 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Nellie was born in 1929 and was raised on her family farm in Beausejour, Manitoba and married Edward in 1948 and they settled in Garson, Manitoba to farm and raise their children. Nellie was a caregiver to all, often looking after her grandchildren then later her great-grandchildren, she always held her family close to her heart. Nellie loved to garden and tend her flowers, she truly had a gift for gardening.
A special thanks to the Shamrock ward at East Gate Lodge for their special care and compassion.
In keeping with her wishes, an intimate family gathering will be held and she will be buried next her husband in the Garson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Chorney, Jason Shumilak, Chad Chorney, Grahme Macfarlane, Connor Macfarlane, Jesse Chorney, Dominic LaChance, Dominic Galka and honorary pallbearer, William LaChance.
