We are saddened that, at the age of 91, Nancy Laura Thomson’s journey has come to an end. Nancy passed peacefully at Resthaven Lodge in Sidney,BC on July 19, 2017.
She was a loving wife to Thomas Moncrieff Thomson (predeceased). Together, they lived an enriched life with caring values for family friends and community. Born in Atlin, BC, raised in Surrey, England, she returned to BC, where she met and married Tommy. She was a physiotherapist, sheep farmer, gardener and rhododendron enthusiast who had an answer for our every question.
The family appreciates the wise and loving care given to Nancy and her family by Resthaven Lodge and Dr. Ambrose Marsh.
Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Ian (Anita) and Larry (Tricia), daughter, Lorea, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Laura (Brady), Kerry (Norm and son Scott), Cameron Thomson (Shanna, daughters Madeleine and Vivian), Launey Tomsin (Caitlin), Heather Thomson, Emma Lavoie (Noel) and Tommy Lavoie (Erin). She will also be dearly missed by close family members Barbara Thomson, Claude Lavoie, and extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Holy Trinity Church, 1319 Mills Road, North Saanich, BC.
In Nancy’s memory, donations may be made to Holy Trinity church of North Saanich for their community outreach program.
