Myer Rabin of Riverview passed away on
Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Moncton City Hospital, after a quick,
but fierce battle with brain cancer. He was the kindest, most generous
man, and was loved by
all.

Lacroix and two sons, Mark André of Vancouver and Philippe
of San Francisco, as well as by his siblings Toby, Gertrude, and Saul
Rabinovitz of Edmonton, and cousins Jacqueline, Joyce,
Dorothy and Tobin Robbins of
Vancouver.
Myer received his LL.B in 1967 at the
University of Alberta, Edmonton. He was a member of the Canadian Bar
Association, the Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick and Nova
Scotia Bars, The Moncton Barristers Society, the Canadian Corporate
Counsel Association and the Canadian Transportation Lawyers
Association.
From 1968 to 1995 he was in-house legal
council for Canadian National Railway. In February of 1996, he began
the private practice of law in Moncton, specializing in transportation
and corporate law. In 1999 Myer was appointed a Small Claims
Adjudicator for the Province of New Brunswick. Acted in that capacity
until transfer of jurisdiction to the Court of Queen’s Bench
of New Brunswick in 2009. Reappointed for a seven year term in
2013.
Myer was active in Home and School
Associations, the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Moncton, the Kiwanis
Club of Moncton, and the Tiferes Israel Synagogue. He also
served as President of the Moncton Community Concert
Association. He loved his family, the legal profession,
enjoyed skiing, movies, comedy and
reading.

November 23rd, 2017 at 1:30pm. All are welcome
to celebrate his life. Interment will be held at Tiferes
