Muriel (Mona) Lilliana McGaw
1927-2017
Mona McGaw of Riverview passed away peacefully at The Dr.
Georges L. Dumont University Hospital on Thursday, January 5, 2017.
Born in St. Stephen, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lucy
(Smith) Laming. Mona was young at heart, intelligent, warm and witty.
She loved her family and was always there with a welcoming smile and a
hot cup of tea for those who dropped by the house. She was the last
surviving member of her immediate family.
She will be dearly missed by her loving children: Daniel
(Dan) of Riverview, Barbara Hart of Riverview and Janet Carter
(Gordon) of Spruce Grove, AB; grandchildren: James, Cheryl and Scott;
great-grandchildren: Oliver, Emma, Cooper and Charlotte; as well as
several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mona was predeceased
by her husband Clifford in 2011, brothers Earle, Ernie, Allan
and Paul and her sister, Mary.
An evening of remembrance will take place at Cobb’s
Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview
(869-2007) on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm. If so
desired, donations can be made in Mona’s memory to The Heart
