Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at Lee Manor in Owen Sound, on Wednesday morning, March 29th, 2017. Marilyn Evelyn Williton (nee Barber), of Owen Sound and formerly of Desboro, at the age of 83 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Jack Williton (2012) for 59 years. Loving mother of Bill Williton and his wife, Glendeen, of Newfoundland, Jim Williton and his partner, Sharon Jones, of Owen Sound, Patricia Juniper and her husband, Brian, of Leith, Donald Williton, of Desboro, Betty-Lou “Boo” Warmington and her husband, David, of Cambridge and mother-in-law of Steve Walker, of Atwood and Lenore Duncan, of Owen Sound. Proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Joan Buckton and her husband, George, of Owen Sound, Cliff Barber, of London, Doreen Irving and Betty-Lou Farrow and her husband, Lorne and sister-in-law of Ruth Barber, all of Owen Sound. Marilyn will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law, Elfrieda Williton and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Reginald and Daisy Barber; her daughters, Barbara Williton and Leanne Walker; her grandson, Jamie Williamson; her brothers, Truman and Vernon Barber; her in-laws, Ken Williton and Barb (George) Robison; her parents-in-law, Clifford and Olive Williton. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Lee Manor. Their love for our mom that was showered on their own special “Marilyn Monroe” brought comfort and compassion to the family during this difficult time.

WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial for Marilyn Williton will be held at St. Mary`s Roman Catholic Church, 554 – 15th Street East, Owen Sound, on Saturday, April 1st, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Wojciech Kuzma officiating. Interment in St. Mary`s Cemetery at a later date. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce as an expression of sympathy.
