“The Day is Done” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Jim was born on December 17, 1926 in a log cabin near Brownvale, AB. He was the eldest of Lola and Mac Drysdale’s four children. Jim was Margaret Ann’s husband for almost 60 years (September 21), father to four children: Bob, Jo, Van, Dana, grandpa to Rory and Ryan (thanks to Dana and Rob Suzukovich).
Jim is survived by his brother Bob as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his son, Robert Bain Drysdale and sisters, Peggy and Betty.
Jim’s first employment was with radio, then household finance and IAC, followed by 25 years of commercial industrial real estate.
Jim was a coach (hustle!) and a chauffeur (Dad!). He volunteered with his church in earlier days and for many years with the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta. Jim had a great passion for golf, geography, the history of St. Albert and beyond, hockey, football, and you name it!
You all know how much there is to miss about Jim!
Cremation has taken place and a small gathering will be held for family and close friends.
