MOONEY, Robert Allan – Sadly announcing the death of Bob Mooney, dear and cherished son of Phyllis Mooney, and sweet and kind brother to Fern Colson. Bob was predeceased by Allison, his wife of 30 yrs., and by his much revered father, Alan Mooney. Besides his mother and sister, Bob leaves behind many nieces and nephews, one uncle, cousins and many friends. Bob has declined over the past few months and has succumbed to symptoms of COPD, on Dec. 2nd, at the age of 74. He loved to spread happiness to others with his kindness, generosity and quick readiness to laugh. Bob has endeared himself to many people because of these qualities. He loved spending time with his sister and mother on Monday mornings, going out for coffee and listening to fiddle music. Funeral arrangements for Bob and his mother Phyllis: Visitation will be held at Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613-968-2273) on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 11am on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Interment Belleville Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, any donation to Belleville Humane Society would be sincerely appreciated.
