Obituary for Mildred Porter
Porter, Mildred Eudora, 96 of Truro formally of Yarmouth passed away December 14, 2017 in the Cedarstone Nursing Home, Truro. Born in South Ohio, Yarmouth County July 25, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Helen (Crosby) Cook. Mildred is survived by her Son Greg(Candice) Porter, Truro; grandchildren Ben(Tiffany) Fredericton ,Camden; many nieces and nephews, Archie(Marg) Cook, Dr. Harold(Helen) Cook, Doreen Cook, Ann Rozee; Pat(Ken) Delaney; James(Doris)Cook; Lawrence Nickerson; Gerald(Launa) Moses; Brian(Terri) Moses; Charles(Nancy) Valley, Arthur(Candy) Valley. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her Husband Carl Porter. Mildred was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Visitation will be Saturday from 7-9pm. Funeral service Sunday 2pm both from the Sweenys Funeral Home Chapel, Yarmouth. Burial in the Hillside Cemetery, South Ohio. A memorial service will be held at Truro Heights Baptist Church on Monday at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Bible Society, Yarmouth North Baptist Church or the Truro Heights Baptist Church.
