At Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, Collingwood on Monday, January 2, 2017 formerly of Feversham in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred(2011). Loving mother of Harvey(Elaine) and best friend to daughter June Dawson. Loved and remembered by grandchildren Christina(Jason) Stephens, Pamela(Dave) McIlwraith and 3 great grandchildren; Jordan, Jesse and Jaelyn. Mildred will be missed by sister Vera Bowbyes, nephew Ian and niece Lorna. Predeceased by nephew Kenny.
Mildred’s greatest joy in life was being a mom. She spent many years at home taking care of her family, and for this she was very proud. In her later years, she enjoyed relaxing and watching Harvey’s cows graze while listening to songs by George Strait.
The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton on Thursday, January 5 from noon until the time of service at 1pm. Memorial contributions to Burns Presbyterian Church, Kolapore Calvary Church of Nazerene, or the Flesherton Foodbank would be gratefully appreciated.
