Obituary of Mike Williams
Mike died suddenly and unexpectedly at the K-W Campus of Grand River Hospital on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the age of 72.
Loving husband to Pauline (nee Cooper) for 50 years. Cherished Dad of Sari Williams-Beattie and her husband Michael Beattie and special Papa of Mikayla and Nicholas. Dear brother-in-law of Frank Cooper and his wife Nancy, Wayne Cooper and his wife Valerie, and Elaine MacIntosh and her husband Gary. Also survived by his Aunt Helen Drysdale. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who dearly loved him.
Predeceased by his parents John (Jack) and Kathryn (nee Drysdale) Williams, sister Wendy Meyer, and parents-in-law Gordon and Olive Cooper.
Mike retired as General Manager of Steve’s TV in Kitchener after 39 years of service. He was a very active member of the United Church.
Mike’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, October 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at First United Church, 16 William St. W. (at King St.) Waterloo on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kellie McComb officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service in Hilliard Hall at First United. Following cremation, a private family interment will take place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
