Korbey, Michael Timothy – Peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday March 4, 2017 at Roberta Place in Barrie. Michael, in his 90th year, loved husband of the late Noreen Liddy. Loving father of Graham Korbey (Christiane), Christine Korbey (Stephen), Peter Liddy (Marj) and Carol Underhill (Mike Brown). Proud grandfather of Alexandra Korbey (Richard Kett), Diana Hawkins (Dan Cappon), Meagan Hawkins (James Capotosto), Nicole Lamont, Kristin Houston (John) and Tanya Morrison (Tim) and great grandfather of Melissa Nadeau (Justin), Jayme Morrison and Ashley Morrison and great great grandfather of Leo Cappon, Wesley Houston and Charlotte Nadeau. Michael was born in London, England, the son of Andre Korobeinikoff and Enid Pyemont. After emigrating to Canada in the late 50’s, Michael started working for Air Canada which was Trans-Canada Airlines at the time. Michael spent his entire career working as an aircraft mechanic for Air Canada.
Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905)877-3631 on Thursday March 9th from 10-11 am. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimers Society or the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum would be appreciated.
