1931-2017
ELSIPOGTOG, NB – Michael Sanipass 86, of Elsipogtog
passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent
on Monday, September 18, 2017. Born in Eel Ground, NB he was
the son of the late Henry Sanipass and late Sara (Ward)
Sanipass. Michael was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion
Branch No. 30, in Richibucto, he also served overseas in the Korean
War from 1950-1953. Before retiring, he was employed as a
janitor for 25 years.
Michael will be sadly missed by his four daughters, Maria
Augustine (Bryan Simon) of Bouctouche, Anna Sanipass (Arthur Levi),
Beverly Sanipass (Paul Stephen Francis), Catherine Tomah (Jason) all
of Elsipogtog; four sons, Michael Jr., Claude, Joseph (Angela),
Darrell (Mary Dedam) and many grandchildren, great grandchildren,
great grandchildren.
He is also survived by one sister, Freda Francis (James) of
Elsipogtog, many nieces, nephews; Godchildren, Allan Peters and Rena
Simon.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Doreen
(Simon) Sanipass; three sons, Daniel, Donald, Peter; five
grandchildren, Radley Sanipass, Jesse Sanipass, Tiffany Sanipass,
Belinda Augustine, Katlin Sanipass; one brother, David and one sister,
Margaret Dedam.
Visitation will be held at his daughter, Anna’s
home at 239 Levi Street, Elsipogtog beginning on Saturday at 11:00 am
until time of the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on
Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10:30 am, St. Anne’s Roman
Catholic Church, Elsipogtog. Arrangements are in care of
Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
