Obituary for Mavis Luella Scott (Hall)
Life long North Bay resident Mavis Louella Scott passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the age of 88 years. For the past 65 years Mavis has been the loving and devoted wife to Arthur James “Art” Scott. Proud and loving mother of Laurie Hammill (Ted), Sally O’Halloran (Sean), Clifford (deceased) and Douglas (Heather). Mavis will also be lovingly remembered by her eight grandchildren Scott, Sandy, Krista, Kimberly, Tyler, Jessie, Rian and Alexi and seven great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Asa and Susan Hall and siblings Ethel Carmichael, Everett, Charles, Lloyd, Norma Levert, Irene Wilson and her twin brother Marvin. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mavis worked as an RNA at the former Civic Hospital for twenty five years, retiring in 1989. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home Monday, December 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service and luncheon to follow. Inurnment of ashes in the All Saints Mausoleum will take place at a later date. If desired donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre or Shriners Children’s Hospital (in Montreal) will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
